About this boat
IQ is a 45 ft (13.72 m) high performance sailing catamaran built by Voyage Yachts in 2010 with a purposeful design that is both stylish and safe. It offers a large open teak deck, comfortable cushioned seating area with roof covering and side screens as well as sunny spacious trampoline areas in the foredeck. Designed as both a live aboard cruising yacht with 2 x 39 Hp Yanmar engines, as well as the ultimate sailing catamaran for day sail excursions. This luxury catamaran is perfect for any occasion from tying the knot with your special person, to yacht parties and corporate functions. Overnight accommodation … after your cruising / sailing experience there is an unique option for staying overnight in the iconic V&A Waterfront, berthed right outside the Victoria and Alfred Hotel on the North Wharf adjacent to the adjacent La Parada Restaurant.

Weather
Cruise time and cruise course are dependent on weather conditions and at the discretion of the skipper. You and your guests safety will always be our primary priority.
What to Wear
Sunglasses, hats, a jersey or windbreaker as well as non-deck marking shoes (eg trainers/deck shoes, no black soles) is recommended.
Bar
There is an onboad cash or card bar available (beverage list attached). If you wanted to bring all your own drinks and not use the onboard bar at all, a corkage fee of R2,000 (for 2 hours then R1,000/hr thereafter) will be charged. Or if you want to use the onboard bar and and only bring a few bottles of your favourite alcoholic drinks that are not on the beverage list, then there is a corkage fee of R50 per bottle for wine & sparkling wine and Hard liquor will be charged at R100 per bottle - no ciders, beers or soft drinks are allowed to be brought onboard! When bringing your own drinks, ensure these drinks are kept in your own containers and chilled with your own ice.
Catering
Various menu options (attached) are available and must be arranged within 2 weeks prior to the charter. Gas BBQ / Braai facilities available @ R500 usage fee. If you wanted a designated Braaimaster the fee is R500 or you can braai yourself (Note: the crew cannot braai). Otherwise you are more than welcome to bring your own food and snacks. Cutlery, crockery & plates are not included so please bring your own.
DJ/ Entertainer
There is also an onboard sound system with Bluetooth, AUX or USB connection if you wish to bring your own music (you need to supply your own aux cable). Should you require additional base & volume for your event a JBL Bluetooth speaker can be hired at R500 fee. We have numerous DJs on our supplier list and are happy to facilitate that for you. Cape Town based Singer/Entertainer details available on request. Should you wish to supply your own DJ, they will need to bring their own equipment and speakers. Use of the generator @ R500 (as no power out at sea).
Route
Generally the most scenic route is cruising from Granger Bay, past the famous Light House, past Sea Point and then heading up to Clifton Beach with spectacular views of Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles Mountain range during the entire trip. However the entire Table Bay and surrounding areas may be utilised depending on the weather and sea conditions for the trip. The Skipper / Captain will make the final call.
Additional Activities
Add on some water sport activities such as Jet Ski’s, 3-man Super Tube (couch) @ R500. Inflatable SUP Boards & paddle @ R600 per board and snorkelling with the Cape Fur Seals @ R1,500 per person (Snorkelling only available only with 3+hour private charters).

- 2 hours = R20,000, 3 hours = R30,000, 4 hours = R40,000, 5 hours = R50,000, 6 hours = R60,000, 7 hours = R70,000, 8 hours = R80,000
- Peak Rates: (Peak Rates are from 1 November to 15 January 2023)
- R12,000 (for the first 2 hours) and R7,000 p/h thereafter
